Nikolay Kolev is a founder and managing director of Koleff & Partners. He has an MBA from University of Chicago’s “Booth School of Business” with specialization in finance.
Before establishing Koleff & Partners in March 2016, Nikolay spent more than 12 years as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), banker and consultant.
While working as a CFO of the KFC operations in Bulgaria, Nikolay was responsible for managing the strategic business planning process, development of five years business plan, development and implementation of financial strategy to finance the growth, development and implementation of financial policies and procedure (procure to pay, budgeting and forecasting, etc.), initiation and management of internal project for costs optimizations, overall supervision of finance function.
At DSK Bank, a subsidiary of OTP Group Hungary, Nikolay managed key accounts corporate banking center with more than 300 clients and loan portfolio of above BGN 1 billion. Nikolay was responsible for managing the corporate banking center and its team of 22 employees, including structuring of financial solutions to corporate clients (investment and working capital loans, buy-out transactions, transactions for financing mergers and acquisitions). Among others, Nikolay was responsible for supervising the loan proposals preparation process, presentation of the loan proposals to credit committee, overall supervision of contracts closing and funds utilization process, maintaining effective relationship with clients.
As a Senior Consultant at Deloitte, Nikolay was responsible for managing consulting project with focus on strategy development and implementation, operational improvements, development and implementation of financial policies and procedures, post-merger integration. Among others, Nikolay managed a project of Organizational design of Private Equity fund, including development of investment policy and procedures as well as deal valuation tools.
As a Relationship manager at the Corporate banking division of UniCredit Bulbank, Nikolay managed a portfolio of corporate clients. His responsibility included clients meetings, identification of clients’ financial needs, structuring of financial solutions that meet clients financial needs through the bank’s products, preparation of loan proposal, presentation of loan proposal to credit committee, overall management of the deal closing process.
Andrey Voynov, CFA is a Manager at Koleff & Partners.
He is a CFA Institute Charterholder and holds Bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Environmental Studies from Franklin and Marshall College and a Master’s degree from Yale University School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.
Before joining Koleff &partners, Andrey spent more than 9 years in corporate banking and management consulting.
At DSK Bank, a subsidiary of OTP Group Hungary, Andrey managed a corporate loan portfolio of more than EUR 150 mln. He was responsible for originating and building relationships with large corporate clients of the bank, financial analysis, preparing financial models and projections for potential investment projects, structuring corporate finance transactions and defending them before the decision-making committees. Andrey supervised a team of 5 relationship managers and analysts and within his assigned team was responsible for overseeing the loan application process, budgeting and performance management. Andrey successfully structured and closed multiple investment and working capital loan transactions, sale and acquisition of business financing deals.
At Deloitte, Andrey was part of the Strategy and Operations team and participated in projects for business processes and organizational structure optimization, legal and financial setup of a companies in the energy sector and financial services sector and improvement of the regulatory framework. Andrey assisted in a project for organizational design of a Private Equity fund, including design of an organization structure, definition of core and supporting business processes, roles and responsibilities and job descriptions for each position in the organization.
